Jana Gana Mana (Thou Art the Ruler of the Minds of All People) is the National Anthem of India, which has been excerpted from the poem written by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore in the Bengali Language.
A formal rendition of the National Anthem takes approximately 52 seconds. A short version with only the first and last lines (approx 20 seconds) is also played occasionally.

English Translation
Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people, dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of Punjab, Sindhu, Gujarat and Maratha, of the Dravida and Orissa (Utkala) and Bengal;
It echoes in the hills of the Vindyas and Himalayas, mingles in the music of Jamuna and Ganga and is chanted by the waves of the Indian Sea.
They pray for thy blessings and sing thy praise. The saving of all people waits in thy hand, thou dispenser of India's destiny.
